CMS Detector

What CMS is this website built on?

Paste any public URL. We scan page HTML and headers for Shopify, WordPress, Webflow, Wix and other platform fingerprints, or mark it as custom code when nothing clear shows up.

  • Detects popular CMS and website builders
  • Shows confidence and matching signals
  • Flags custom code when no CMS is found
  • Useful before migrations and redesigns
Check a URL

Public homepage URLs work best. Results are based on publicly visible fingerprints.

Shopify Partner details

How it works

One URL, clear platform signals

We read what the site publicly exposes, match known CMS fingerprints and report custom code when nothing strong appears.

  1. Enter the URL

Use the public homepage. Avoid password pages and private admin URLs.

  2. We fingerprint the page

HTML, headers and common asset paths are checked against known CMS patterns.

  3. Review the stack

See the primary platform, confidence, matching signals or a custom-code result.

What you get

Know the platform before you plan the rebuild

Primary CMS match

See the strongest platform match with a confidence label based on fingerprint strength.

Custom code fallback

When no CMS markers appear, the tool reports custom code instead of forcing a guess.

Supporting signals

Review the exact clues that matched, plus generator meta and framework hints when present.

Migration-ready context

Useful before Shopify migrations, redesigns or agency discovery calls.

What if no CMS is detected?
When no strong platform fingerprint is found, the result is shown as Custom code. That usually means the site is hand-built, uses a custom stack, or hides CMS markers. Framework hints such as Next.js or Laravel may still appear when they are exposed.
How accurate is it?
Strong matches such as Shopify CDN scripts or WordPress wp-content paths are usually reliable. Lightweight or heavily customised sites can return a lower confidence result or look custom even when a CMS sits behind a custom frontend.
Can it detect headless CMS setups?
Sometimes only the frontend framework is visible. Headless Contentful, Sanity or similar backends often leave few public CMS fingerprints, so the result may show Custom code plus stack hints.
Do you store the URLs I check?
Checks are processed to return results. Use public website URLs only. Do not submit private admin or staging URLs that should stay internal.
Can NP SoftTech rebuild or migrate the site you detect?
Yes. As an official Shopify Partner we migrate stores to Shopify, rebuild custom storefronts and improve existing themes. Share the URL you checked in a project inquiry.
