An AI website builder is a fast way to get something on a domain. A developer is how you get the thing you actually specified. Those are different purchases. Arguing which is “the future” is how people publish a half-finished site and call it strategy.

We build sites and we are an official Hostinger partner. We use Hostinger’s builder as the example because we can point at official docs. The choice is the same with other builders.

Quick answer

Use a builder when the site is simple, you will edit the draft, and you accept a common layout. Hire a developer when pages, forms, brand rules or integrations have to be specific, or when the site is how you make money every week.

AI website builder draft beside a scoped developer sitemap
Speed on the left. A written page list on the right.
AI builder Developer
First version Hours, if you stay focused Days or weeks, with a scope
Exact layout Limited That is the job
Copy Draft, often generic Still needs you, unless copy is scoped
Handover You live in the builder Should include how you edit later
Shop Hostinger’s own tools, not Shopify Shopify development if you need Shopify

A fair test

Give both paths the same page list. If the builder output is good enough after one evening of edits, ship it. If you are still fighting the hero, the form and the mobile menu after three evenings, you are paying in time. Our Hostinger AI Builder review is the product-specific version of this.

Cost of a scoped site is discussed without fake averages in business website cost in India. Steps if you still want to try the builder: build with AI on Hostinger.

What we will not claim

We will not say AI builders are useless. We will not say NP SoftTech is the only way to look professional. We will not say a builder can run a serious Shopify catalogue.

Share the draft or the page list.

We will say builder, Hostinger plus our build, or Shopify. Start there.
