Hostinger merged its older website builder and Horizons-style flow into one AI Builder with two modes. That is the 2026 product, according to Hostinger’s own AI Builder page. This review is based on those official pages, not on a fake week-long lab with invented scores.

Quick answer

Use it to get a small business site standing quickly if you will rewrite the text and check mobile. Use a developer when the layout, forms or brand rules need to stay exact. Do not use it as a Shopify replacement.

Hostinger AI Builder draft website on a laptop
Fast first version. The quality of the published site is still your edit.

What it does well

You can describe a business and get a multi-section draft without hiring anyone that day. Manual mode is the visual path most brochure sites should try first. Hostinger lists AI helpers for writing, blog drafts, SEO suggestions, images and logos. Those helpers are drafts. They will invent a tagline if you let them.

Publishing and SSL sit with the host, which is the point of using Hostinger rather than a random builder that dumps ZIP files on you.

Where it is weak

Generic copy. Similar layouts. Forms you still have to test. Agentic mode can build more app-like things, but Hostinger’s technical notes are clear that it is not classic FTP hosting, that output is probabilistic, and that some server tools are unavailable. If you need a developer to “just SSH in”, this is the wrong box.

Ecommerce on Hostinger’s builder is not the same as Shopify’s admin, apps and checkout. Product caps and integrations change. Read their current ecommerce docs. Our comparison remains Hostinger vs Shopify.

Fits Does not fit

Verdict

Worth trying for a five-page company site if budget and time are tight and you will edit. Not a substitute for hiring a developer when the site is part of how you sell. Steps to try it: build with AI on Hostinger.
