Instagram is good at showing the work. It is bad at being the only official record of a company. The profile can be limited, the algorithm can hide you, and the URL is not yours. A website is the opposite: less daily theatre, more control.
This is not an anti-social post. NP SoftTech uses social channels too. The question is whether the business can survive if the app is enough for today and gone as a strategy tomorrow.
Keep Instagram. Add a website when people ask for a URL, when you need services and contact in one place, or when you want search and WhatsApp leads to land somewhere stable. Sell products at volume? Add a shop, usually Shopify, not only DMs.
| Website | ||
|---|---|---|
| Who owns it | The platform | You, plus a host and a domain |
| Best at | Photos, reach, casual chat | Services, contact, policies, search |
| Checkout | Limited, rules change | A shop or a form you chose |
| When the app is down | You wait | The site can still take a call |
When Instagram alone is a temporary answer
You are testing a hobby product. All buyers already know you. You reply to every DM. The moment a stranger needs GST details, a price list or a refund rule, the profile runs out. A landing page can bridge a campaign. A site still wins for the company name.
When the website is overdue
You run ads. You have a staffed phone. Partners ask for a URL. You are tired of pasting the same service explanation into WhatsApp. Build the pages in the page list. Host them as in choosing hosting. NP SoftTech is an official Hostinger partner for that stack.
If the real need is a catalogue and checkout, Instagram shopping is not the whole store. Read what Shopify is.
