Hosting is the computer that serves your website files. If you pick hosting before you pick the type of site, you will compare the wrong plans. A Shopify shop, a WordPress brochure site and a custom PHP site do not sit on the same product.
NP SoftTech is an official Hostinger partner. We will mention Hostinger where a business website needs ordinary hosting. We will not pretend Hostinger replaces Shopify.
If you are selling products in a full shop, Shopify hosts the store. If you need a company website (services, about, contact), choose shared or cloud hosting to match the software you will run. Hostinger is one option we partner with. Read the current plan page before you pay, because prices change.
Shopify is not a hosting plan
When you pay Shopify, hosting of the storefront is included. You do not buy Hostinger to “speed up Shopify”. Speed work on a shop is apps, images and theme. See why a Shopify store is slow.
You might still want Hostinger for a separate marketing site, a staging copy of a custom site, or email. That is a second bill with a second job.
Shared, cloud and VPS in plain language
Shared hosting puts many sites on one machine. It is the usual start for a small business site. It is cheaper. You have less control. A noisy neighbour can matter on very cheap plans, but most five-page sites never notice. The type comparison is in shared vs cloud vs VPS.
Cloud hosting (the way hosts market it) usually means easier scaling and a slightly isolated setup. You pay more. It helps when traffic is growing or you need a bit more reliability than the cheapest shared tier.
VPS means a virtual server you treat more like your own machine. You or a developer manage more of it. Use it when you have a reason, not because the sales page said “professional”.
| Type | Best for | Technical level |
|---|---|---|
| Shared | Small business sites, many WordPress installs | Beginner |
| Cloud (host marketing) | Growing sites that outgrew cheap shared | Intermediate |
| VPS | Custom apps, higher control | Advanced |
| Shopify (not hosting) | Ecommerce storefront and checkout | Merchant admin |

Choose the software first
WordPress needs WordPress-friendly hosting. A custom PHP site needs PHP and a database. Shopify needs a Shopify account. If a developer already picked the stack, ask them which host they will support. A cheap plan that your developer will not touch is not cheap.
We build business sites and can deploy to Hostinger when that stack is the fit. See business website development and domain and hosting. For the partner checkout link we use our Hostinger partner URL. Offers and coupons change. Domain names are often excluded from hosting coupons. Read the terms on that page, then confirm current plans on Hostinger’s official site.
What to look at besides price
Backups you can restore. A real SSL certificate (most hosts include this now). Support hours that match when you launch. A data centre region that is not on the other side of the earth for no reason. Email: some people keep email at the host, others use Google Workspace. Decide so DNS is not a surprise.
Do not pick a plan because a blog called it the best in India without a date. Hosts change prices and limits. Open the official Hostinger pricing page on the day you buy.
When we tell people not to buy hosting yet
If the real need is a shop, start with Shopify and a gateway, not a cPanel account. If the real need is a one-page ad, a simple hosted page may be enough. If the real need is a custom system, wait for the developer’s stack notes.
NP SoftTech can build the site and use Hostinger when it fits. Shopify stores stay on Shopify. Tell us which you need, or open the Hostinger partner page if you only want the hosting offer.
