A business website is the set of pages that explain who you are, what you sell as a service, and how to contact you. It is not an Instagram grid. It is not a Shopify shop unless you actually sell products through checkout.
If you are building a store, use the Shopify development guide instead. This page is for companies that need a site first.
Write the purpose and the page list. Choose a stack (WordPress, custom or a builder). Buy a domain, pick hosting that matches the stack, then build and launch with analytics and a working contact path. Do not start by comparing twenty themes.
Home → Services → Service detail → About → Blog (optional) → Contact. ALT: Simple business website structure diagram.
1. Purpose and pages
Write one sentence: what should a stranger do after five minutes? Call, fill a form, book, or request a quote. Then list pages. Most small firms need home, services (or products as a list, not a cart), about, contact, and legal pages. A blog is optional until you will write it.
If you only need one campaign URL, that is a landing page, not a full site. See business website vs landing page. Do not force a ten-page sitemap onto a single offer.
2. Pick the stack
WordPress is common because many people can edit it. A custom PHP site is lighter if you do not want plugin overhead. Builders (including Hostinger’s AI website builder) can be enough for a simple brochure. Shopify is the wrong stack for a CA firm that does not sell SKUs.
WordPress vs Shopify is the comparison if you are still mixing those two. Cost bands sit in business website cost in India.
3. Domain and hosting
The domain is the name. Hosting is the computer. You can buy them apart. NP SoftTech is an official Hostinger partner. Use Hostinger when the site is WordPress or a simple hosted site. Do not put a Shopify shop on Hostinger.
Read what web hosting is and shared vs cloud vs VPS before you pay for a plan you will not use. Confirm current Hostinger prices on their site or through our partner link. Offers change. Domain coupons often exclude the name itself.
| Step | Output |
|---|---|
| Purpose | One action you want |
| Sitemap | Page list you will actually write |
| Stack | WordPress, custom, builder, or Shopify if it is a shop |
| Domain | Name that matches the brand |
| Hosting | Plan that matches the stack |
| Build | Templates, content, forms, mobile check |
| Launch | HTTPS, analytics, Search Console, backups |
4. Build and launch
Write copy in your words. Stock photos of handshakes are optional and usually skippable. Compress images. Make the phone number and form work on a phone. Add a privacy page if you collect leads.
Then point DNS at the host, wait for HTTPS, and walk the site on a mid-range Android. Submit the sitemap if you want search traffic. Speed still matters. Heavy builders have the same problem as heavy Shopify themes.
NP SoftTech does business website development and can deploy to Hostinger when that is the fit. Tell us the page list.
